Apartment Description

This new, spacious, fully equipped apartment is situated on the ground floor(suitable for elderly) in a small secure complexin the Meia Praia/Albardeira area of Lagos. Furnished to a high standard,it can comfortably accomodate up to 4 people. There is a double bedroom with fitted wardrobes, dressing table, hairdryer etc. and a double sofa bed in the lounge. In the hallway there is an additional wardrobe with drawers. The kitchen is fully equipped including breakfast table and chairs, microwave, washing machine, fridge/freezer, full cooker, kettle, toaster, coffee maker,iron and ironing board. The large lounge/diner has a double sofa bed, dining table and chairs, satellite tv (UK channels), DVD player and mini hi-fi/CD player. Kitchen, lounge and bedroom all have access to the large elevated terrace with pool and sea views and dining furniture for alfresco dining. Beautifully landscaped gardens surround the pool area which includes a small childrens pool. Sun loungers are provded for use on terrace, poolside and on communal roof terrace. The secure complex includes video phone entry, electric gates and secure underground parking (lift)

The complex is situated on a slight hill above the Marina, 10 mins walk from beautiful Meia Praia Beach with its miles of golden sand and scattering of beach bars, 10 mins wak from large supermarket (small supermarket 200 metres) and 10 mins walk from the Marina offering a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and access to Lagos Town, just a short walk, via the footbridge.

Historic Lagos Town has something to offer everyone, with its picturesque cobbled streets, numerous restaurants, bars and shops, cosmopolitan Marina , golf and many watersports. From the Marina you can take an Atlantic trip to see dolphins in their natural habitat, visit the grottos, go sea fishing or simply watch the world go by. International cuisine is available ranging from traditional Portuguese with an abundance of fresh fish to more exotic Eastern dishes including Indian, Chinese and Thai. A visit to the old slave market and the Golden Church are a must.

Golf courses abound in the surrounding area and several are within 5 to 25 mins drive, the nearest being Palmares approx 1 mile along beach road with fantastic views across the bay. parque de Floresta, Penina and Boa Vista are also close by.

For the children there is a variety of water parks including Zoomarine , where you can book to swim with dolphins, all within 35 mins drive. Some also have buses picking up locally. Lagos zoo is approx. 15 mins drive.

Car is useful but not essential. Taxis in and around Lagos are inexpensive if required.
