Set in one acre of professionally landscaped gardens Casa-d-Alem is nestled in the small hamlet of Casal-d-Alem, Penela.
Having been recently renovated by the owners Sue and Colin, the single storey casa stands in its own enlosed courtyard, this one bedroomed rustic casa sleeps 2 (adults only) and is well equipped.
The self catering casa is suitable for adults who enjoy the quiet life. Casa-d-Alem lies in the heart of a conservation area, with dramatic views of the surrounding areas.
Within easy distance you can find shops, bars and resturants, a 30 minute drive can take you to Coimbra where you can shop until you drop in the shopping malls or just take a stroll along the stunning river side or relax with a picnic in the park , or just pop into one of the fabulous resturants and enjoy the food of Portugal, the choice is endless
Ideally positioned, Casa-d-Alem has something for everyone, peace and tranquillity, walking, horse riding (20 mins away), beaches (40mins) Shopping, sight seeing, eating and drinking, we are sure your stay at Casa-d-Alem will be one to remember, why not come and visit qThe Real Portugalq

Cottage Price Notes
Deposit
After you have submitted a booking form we will process your request and advise you of Casa availability within 48 hours.
In order to confirm your booking you will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit equal to 20% of the total rental cost. The balance will then become payable 8 weeks prior to your date of arrival.
Cancellations
If for any reason you need to cancel your holiday then the following cancellation charges apply:
cancellation between 4 and 8 weeks of your intended date of arrival = 50% of the total rental cost.
cancellation between 4 and 0 weeks of your intended date of arrival = 100% of the total rental cost.
We strongly recommend that you take travel insurance which covers you in the event of any cancellation.
Maximum Occupancy
The maximum occupancy for this casa is 2 persons.
Safety
The property owner will not accept responsibility or liability for any accident/illness or damage sustained during the tenancy regardless of howsoever it occurred, therefore travel insurance is strongly advised. In particular your attention is drawn to the fact that the use of all facilities is at your own risk including the Jacuzzi and or the pool and all appliances provided..
Basis of Casa rental
The Casa is located in a predominantly conservastion area and as such you are unlikely to have to put up with noisy holiday makers or late night parties. Likewise it is a condition of the rental that you also keep noise levels to an acceptable level, particularly after 11:00pm and before 8:00am.
Use of Casa
The Casa is provided with a wide range of inventory including bedding, crockery, appliances, various books and ornaments. It is a condition of your rental that all items are used with care, all breakages are replaced and all items are left behind in the Casa when you depart. A refundable payment of 200 euro is payable upon arrival at the Casa and will be returned at the end of the stay providing no breakages have occurred
Casa Access
Access to the Casa is available from 2:00pm on your date of arrival, and the Casa must be vacated by 11:00am on your date of departure.
During peak seasons Saturday is the normal day for changeovers
No Smoking within the accommodation
Rate: 40 euro per night (2 nights minimum)
250euro per week
