The Atlantic resorts of Estoril and Cascais - which along with nearby
Sintra make up Portugal so-called 'Golden Triangle' - are an excellent
base for visitors to Portugal.

Within easy reach of the capital Lisbon by train from Cais do Sodre
station both Estoril and Cascais, (less than 30 minutes apart on
foot)have long been the preferred getaway of rich Lisboetas and well
to-do European visitors.

Known as a haunt of international spies in World War II and later
hideaway of various pretenders to European thrones, Estoril is now a
palm-fringed, pastel playground of the well-off and well
connected,drawn by a winning combination of Europe's largest casino, a
range of first-class hotels and some superb golf courses. Praia de
Tamariz is the lovely beach at the centre of the town with showers, an
ocean swimming pool and a number of good bars for a sun-downer.

Estoril Casino includes a variety of restaurants, bars, a nightclub
and a nightly floor show.

The casino provides roulette, blackjack, slots and poker
tables.Estoril plays host to the Estoril open tennis tournament in
April - an important clay-court warm-up for the French open and the
Estoril Golf course has held the PGA Portuguese open.

There are 6 golf courses on the Estoril Coast with varying degrees of
difficulty suitable for all types of players.

The apartment is just 35 km from Lisbon's airport, about 30-45 minutes
drive.

If you're not planning to bring your car (or rent one), at the airport
you'll find aeroshuttles witch will take you to Cais do Sodré, where
you can take the Train to Estoril. These aeroshuttles run regularly
between the airport and the town centre, every 20 minutes to be
precise.

There are always local taxis available.
Cheap flights available from aerlingus.com, easyjet.co.uk and Monarch
Airlines.

Or fly with Ryanair.com to Faro and then drive up to Lisbon which
takes just 2.5 hours

You can rent a car at the airport, all the major car rental companies
are represented there, such as Avis, Hertz, Europcar and Sixt.

We can arrange an airport transfer. Simply send an email and we will
make the necessary arrangements.

Early check-in is possible; call upon arrival to verify.
