Fajã dos Padres has the shape of a small piece of land, at the bottom of a cliff with approximately 250 meters high, located in the southern coast of Madeira. The place owes its name to the fact that it once belonged to the priests of the Company of Jesus. Fajã dos Padres can only be reached by sea, or by means of a modern scenic elevator.

Five of the ancient Houses at Fajã dos Padres were recovered and adapted to tourism facilities: the Sailor House, the Boat House, and the two José Soldado Houses, and more recently, the Vine House. Discover them, and take pleasure in the peculiar details of each of the now recovered houses. Every house has a one-bedroom typology, hosting a maximum of 4 persons. They all have one bedroom with two individual beds, and two extra beds in the living room. A crib can be arranged and, in special circumstances, a third additional bed can be put in the main bedroom.

The kitchen is fully equipped to host 4 persons, including an oven, microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator. The houses host a wide private external area. A barbecue is available for guests in the Boat House and in the Sailor House. The rental fee includes cleaning services every other day and, optionally, breakfast.

The Fajã dos Padres restaurant serves a careful selection of dishes with origins in the traditional Madeira cuisine. One can highlight the tuna and other fresh fish dishes, as well as the desserts and side dishes prepared from locally grown products.

The seawater mild temperature, its calmness and its transparency makes the beach irresistible to the majority of the guests. A spacious solarium, equipped with beach chairs and parasols help enjoying the beach in full comfort. Guests are welcome to follow the agricultural work, walk along the property, or just relax in the garden expecting to see the sunset over the sea.
