House is in a small quiet village with some hundred houses:Serra dos Mangues. 4 km from the popular town of Sao Martinho do Porto with its bay and beaches. 14 km from Nazare and 12km from Caldas da Rainha. Famous places such as Obidos, Batalha, Alcobaca are very near. In our guestbook we give addresses for restaurants and activities.

By car from Holland:Paris>Bordeaux>Burgos>Salamanca>Viseu>Coimbra>see below.2135 km.All toll road, about €80 one way. By car from Lisbon airport:at airport take "all directions" and then A8 to Leiria (toll road, about €6, donot take green gate!)continue to exit 21 Alfeizerao/Sao Martinho.Follow until big roundabout just outside Sao Martinho.Take right direction Nazare.After 1800m turn left at sign Serra dos Mangues/camping. Go up road, at T cross turn right. You enter into Serra. After the small restaurant Tipico take second right (Rua Lavadouro).After "roundabout" go straight up.Our house is yellow/white about 50 m uphill. By car from Porto: take A1 and A8 to Leiria, then follow instructions above. There are connections from Lisbon to Sao Martinho by bus (good) and train (twice daily).

High season (july/August) Saturday/Saturday.Arrive 1500hrs depart 1000 hrs. Outside these months negotiable.
