The unspoiled fishing village of Santa Luzia is famed for it’s octopus, and lies 3km west of the beautiful town of Tavira, which is generally applauded as being the most beautiful town on the Algarve.

This new, 2 bedroom first floor duplex apartment is light and airy and furnished to a very high standard.

It is situated at the western end of the village, and is a short walk to all the village facilities with it’s many restaurants and local supermarkets.

The dining/sitting room has seating and dining for six, with satellite TV. DVD player, and stereo. The kitchen is fully fitted with a microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine etc.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a large family bathroom, and mezzanine, which has access to the large terrace.

The double bedroom has en-suite facilities and direct access to the terrace.

The terrace faces west and has far views to the ria and 14 km sand-spit island, Ilha de Tavira. On the terrace is a BBQ, sun-loungers, table and chairs.

The blue flag beach is a pleasant 15 min walk along the lagoon to the floating foot-bridge and miniature railway to Barril, all part of the view from the terrace.

The huge expanse of soft golden sandy beach stretches as far as the eye can see.
The 11km long beach is part of the 45 000 Acre Ria Formosa national park so you will always be able to find a quiet spot to park your towel.
At Barril there are extensive facilities with, several bars and restaurants located within a tasteful traditional complex, with surfboard and boat hire.
A ferry also runs from the village to another part of the islands’ beach which also has a bar and restaurant.

Faro Airport is a 30 minute drive from Santa Luzia, a taxi is usually about €35.
