The cottage has a splendid view of the ocean and the mountains. The large garden has plants and trees as well as grapevines. Guests enjoy taking meals and drinks in the garden or on the veranda. The cottage has considerable antique furniture and a fully equipped kitchenette. The location is splendid since Cascais, Sintra and Lisbon are easily accessable by car. The splendid surfing beach of Guincho is a ten minute walk. Guests enjoy walking over the dunes on a new boardwalk.

Cascais is about 8 minutes by car, Lisbon about 30 and Sintra about 15.In the nearby village - Areia - which is a 12 minute walk - there are several restaurants, a newspaper shop, and bakery which sells basic provisions. Bus service and cheap taxis make it possible to have a holiay without car rental.

From Lisbon take the A5 Motorway until the end - exit 12. Follow the Cascais sign - not the sign for Malveira da Serra. At the first roundabout (a Burger King) take a right turn. Next roundabout take the second exit - McDonalds will be on your left. Continue past a gas station until another roundabout where you go straigt ahead, i.e. third road exit. At next roundabout continue straight ahead - there is a camping on your left. Continue and then take the third lane on the right side - on your left you will see the dunes as well as an information center for the dunes. You have now entered Estrada Fonte Velha. Proceed past 3 houses on the left, the last one being a grey stone house. we are located at the intersection of Est. Fonte Velha with a small lane, Travessa do Alto do Borreguinho.

Many guests advise us as they are leaving the airport so that we can open the large green gate about 30 minutes after the call. Otherwise, sound the horn, ring the bell at the little white gate or just walk in if we have organized that the white gate is open for you.
