Central location is the perfect starting point for easy day trips to many historic sights, activities and beaches.

INCLUDES - two double bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, drip coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster, all necessary kitchenware, towels, linens and cleaning supplies. Includes clothes washer, iron and ironing board, clothes drying rack, vacuum cleaner. Living room and dining area seat 4+ (table expands for extra room), with satellite color TV, DVD/CD, stereo. One bathroom with shower (shower massage), bidet, basin sink and hairdryer. A beach sun umbrella, wind shield and 2 inflatable rafts are also included. ENJOY - the gated and walled sunny tiled patio includes an outdoor barbecue, picnic table, chairs, sun umbrella and lounge chairs, as well as a shared adjoining garden area. There is a lawn and 2 shade trees, giving your choice of sun or shade at any time of the day. A mini-market, cafe, restaurant, ATM and internet are within a short walking distance.

ENTERTAIN YOURSELF - with many restaurants, cafes, shopping, handicrafts, bars and nightlife minutes away in Sao Martinho. The expansive flat, sandy beaches of the delta of Foz do Arelho and Obidos Lagoon are just 8 minutes away. Foz offers a plethora of beach-side restaurants, bars, cafes, nightlife,summer entertainment on the beach, concerts, volleyball and beach soccer tournaments, to name a few. The medieval walled castle town of Obidos offers a charming variety of restaurants, bars, cafes, clubs, shops, handicrafts, summer concerts, horse shows and entertainment.

While a car is useful for day trips, many sights are accessible from Salir by bus, train and bicycle. As mentioned above, we offer our guests free bike use!

Centrally located, just 1 hour north of Lisbon Airport in the Silver Coast area of Portugal. Our beach cottage is just an 8km drive off of A8 in between Caldas da Rainha and Sao Martinho do Porto, in the local village of Salir do Porto. Full directions are sent upon confirmation of booking.

We are happy to make other arrangements for you depending upon your arrival/departure needs and those of our other guests. Please contact us in advance if you need special arrangements. If we are unable to accommodate an early check-in, we may be able to store your luggage, and give you an opportunity to freshen up, so that you may go out, enjoy the area and return later to complete your check-in.

We will meet you upon your arrival at our home with the keys and give you a personal tour of the property, explaining its features and amenities, along with more detailed information on area attractions and restaurants, if you wish.

Upon availability, we offer our guests a Lisbon Airport pick-up option for €65, if a rental car, taxi, bus or train does not meet your needs. Please advise us in advance if you may need this service.

Any late departures without prior arrangements may incur a late check-out fee.

Deposit of 25% of the total due is required within 14 days of booking or it will be released.

Balance is to be paid on arrival by cash euros. Upon receipt of booking deposit, we will confirm booking and send location maps/arrival & stay instructions.

A refundable security deposit of €100 is also required in advance. After a satisfactory check-out inspection, this amount is refundable to you by bank transfer within 10 business days of your departure.

All bed linens, blankets and bath towels are provided. Kindly bring beach towels. Upon request, we can provide beach towels for an additional fee. Prices include utilities (natural gas, electric, water) AND final standard cleaning* (*i.e. - property to be left in the same good condition it was received. We will do all laundry and straighten up for our next arrival.)

Check-out: by 10am. Check-in: after 4pm (other arrangements possible depending on our other bookings). Late check-outs without prior arrangements may incur a fee.
