COZY BEACH COTTAGE - in the village of Salir do Porto. Quiet location. Just a 5 minute walk to the child-friendly beach and towering 50 meter sand dune. Short walk to Sao Martinho’s beautiful bay and 3km of crescent-shaped beach. Enjoy the pedestrian boardwalk along the beach and dunes from Salir to Sao Martinho. Nazare : 15 min., Obidos Medieval Castle 17 min., Caldas da Rainha: 15 min., Peniche or Batalha: 30 min., Fatima: 55 min., Lisbon: 1 hour. Central location is the perfect starting point for easy day trips to many historic sights, activities and beaches.
INCLUDES - two double bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, drip coffee maker, electric tea kettle, toaster, all necessary kitchenware, towels, linens and cleaning supplies. Includes clothes washer, iron and ironing board, clothes drying rack, vacuum cleaner. Living room and dining area seat 4+ (table expands for extra room), with satellite color TV, DVD/CD, stereo. One bathroom with shower (shower massage), bidet, basin sink and hairdryer. A beach sun umbrella, wind shield and 2 inflatable rafts are also included. A baby crib or child's mattress is available upon request for free. Enjoy a bike ride to the beach and surrounding towns - 4 bicycles also offered for your family's use - for free!
ENJOY - the gated and walled sunny tiled patio includes an outdoor barbecue, picnic table, chairs, sun umbrella and lounge chairs, as well as a shared adjoining garden area. There is a lawn and 2 shade trees, giving your choice of sun or shade at any time of the day. A mini-market, cafe, restaurant, ATM and internet are within a short walking distance.
ENTERTAIN YOURSELF - with many restaurants, cafes, shopping, handicrafts, bars and nightlife minutes away in Sao Martinho. The expansive flat, sandy beaches of the delta of Foz do Arelho and Obidos Lagoon are just 8 minutes away. Foz offers a plethora of beach-side restaurants, bars, cafes, nightlife,summer entertainment on the beach, concerts, volleyball and beach soccer tournaments, to name a few. The medieval walled castle town of Obidos offers a charming variety of restaurants, bars, cafes, clubs, shops, handicrafts, summer concerts, horse shows and entertainment.
While a car is useful for day trips, many sights are accessible from Salir by bus, train and bicycle. As mentioned above, we offer our guests free bike use!
