This charming house is an 8 minute walk from the amenities at
Prego, 15 minutes walk from Santa Estevão and an 8 minute drive
from the quaint and historic town of Tavira. A variety of white
sandy beach islands and lagoons are within a 10-15 minute drive.
The house is a safe and wonderful space for families to enjoy. The
villa has television, SKY free to view channels, stereo and a DVD
player.
Breakfast under the carob tree, lounge around the pool, enjoy a
fresh fish barbeque on the terracotta patio and soak up the sun on
the private patios.
Bedroom one has a double bed and built in wardrobe.
Bedroom two has twin beds. There is one bathroom with a bath and
shower, toilet bidet and sink.
Bedroom three has a double bed and french doors leading out to the
pool terrace.
A large kitchen that leads out onto a patio with an outdoor tiled
table and a purpose-built barbeque. Gas cooker and hob,
fridge/freezer, washing machine, toaster, cafitiere, kettle and a
larder cupboard. Seating for 6 or 8 people inside the kitchen.
A light and airy living room with comfortable furnishings, an open
fireplace television, stereo and video player. Double sliding glass
doors open onto a large, sunny, split-level patio facing the pool
and flower beds. Perfect for warm outdoor life!
Your sheets and towels will be changed every week. The pool and
gardens are all tended to regularly. You will find a welcome hamper
on arrival and any maintenance queries will be answered promptly.
The house is child friendly in that it is securely walled and gated
and there are no staircases. We supply fans for both bedrooms.
There are mosquito nets on all doors, windows and shutters.
The pool is 5m by 4m, decked on two sides with pretty climbing
plants bordering the other sides. Lounger beds, umbrellas and a
small table are provided by the pool.
An outdoor dining table is near the built-in barbeque, under the
shade of a large carob tree.
Benamor golf course near Cabanas is a 10 minute drive with a
further new golf course, Quinta da Ria another 10 minutes further
down the road. The more famous courses at Vilamoura are all a 40
minutes drive away on the motorway.
Tavira Island beach is a 10 minute drive away. Reached by a short
ride in a charming ferry you will discover wonderful golden, sandy
beaches, beach bars and restaurants on an island 10 miles by 1. Sta
Luzia village next to Tavira also has the beautiful beach of
Barril, situated in a nature reserve and reached by a toy train.
Within the Algarve there are over 100 beaches all within an hour to
an hour and a half drive.
Faro town and airport can be reached in 50 mins on the motorway.
Transport is needed for this location and we recommend that the
client arranges this from the airport or when purchasing flights.
The nearest village is Sta Estevão,a 5 minute drive away. The
village a local shop that sells essentials. Tavira is an 8 minute
drive and has full amenities.
There is a local town map in the house with amenities marked and
some brochures of local attractions.
Tavira has a large variety of restaurants and supermarkets and
daily fruit and fish market.
Faro has a large hypermarket, 12 screen cinema and shopping
complex.
One and half hour drive to Seville. Pop over to Spain in 20 mins to
the first town, Ayamonte.
Tavira is renowned for its 38 historic churches and its four
beautiful bridges spanning the Gilao river which divides the town
and allows for spectacular riverside views of the medieval town and
river life. Numerous cafes and restaurants line the river, public
gardens and quiet squares, offering an array of traditional
patisseries and fresh fish dishes. The castle walls border the
medieval centre of town, encompassing tranquil gardens and a camera
obscura. From here scan over the rich tapestry of peaked rooftops
to the estuary leading through the mosaic of salt pans and far out
into the Atlantic.
Just nearby to Vila Barharra, wet your feet in a spectacular
natural waterfall and a true 'blue lagoon'.
