Quinta da Abuxarda, is located in the outskirts of Cascais, very close to the Lisbon motorway exit and all of the local golf courses. The apartment is adjacent to the main house, with bird’s eye view of the property and surrounding area.The property is very secluded, an oasis in a growing town, inside a very peaceful and mature garden. The loft apartment consists of 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room is open space with dining room, a small all equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, an office area. There's a sofabed that sleeps 1 person, we also provide a baby cot and high chair. Has a very private terraced balcony(30m2)with sun all day and the view of Cascais village, a very comfortable place for a barbecue in the evening. All decorated with comfort in mind and its equipped with tv satellite, dvd, hifi, internet access can be arranged in advance. Secure parking inside the property. For beaches, shopping and entertainment, has public transports and motorway exit at a distance of 300m, with very good accesses to Estoril, Cascais, Sintra or Lisbon.

The Estoril coast boasts a wide variety of beaches that have been awarded the prestigious blue flag by the European Union for the quality of their sea water, infrastructure and back-up services. Many of them in coves overlooked by elegant villas and palaces,very much like the Côte d’Azur,with walkways by the sea,esplanades and a wide range of lively, cosmopolitan bars. Outside the centre,the bars and beaches of Carcavelos are also an excellent place to spend the evening with the sea as a spectacular backdrop. Cascais has several places of cultural and historical interest, notably the Condes de Castro Guimarães Museum, a number of old churches and forts.Cascais Cultural Centre exhibits, conferences, shows and concerts, a multifunctional area that opens its doors to host the most diverse cultural events. A visit to the Cascais Cultural Centre is always worthwhile and a pleasant surprise or simply enjoy a coffee break at the Centre’s terraced café. The fort of Cascais “Cidalela”,16th century fortress was built to defend the Bay of Cascais against invasion.It is one of a string of fortresses along the Tagus estuary designed to protect Lisbon. Guincho beach,a large beach,exposed to the wind and waves of the east coast.It is a major venue in both the European and the World Surfing and Windsurfing Championships.There are many excellent fish and seafood restaurants nearby. Estoril and Sintra have a fine selection of golf courses. Today the region features seven 18 hole courses: Belas Clube de Campo, Golf do Estoril, Lisbon Sports Club, Pestana Beloura Golf, Quinta da Marinha Golf, Penha Longa Atlântico and Oitavos Dunes Golf, (the latter two classified in the 50 best courses in Europe ranking) and one 9 hole - Penha Longa Monastery. The climate is mild so that golf can be played all year round. Cabo da Roca,which is the most westerly point in Europe and has magnificent views,is nearby. The coast to the north of Cabo da Roca has dramatic cliffs interspersed with rocky beaches.The water has high iodine content and the natural environment is still absolutely unspoiled.Some of the smaller beaches are somewhat inaccessible and therefore almost empty. The Sintra Mountains lie at the heart of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. They are part of the only area in the world to be classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site both for their cultural interest and their natural beauty. The town of Sintra is of rare historical and architectural importance. The hills are a monument in their own right. Even today, we sense the magic of Sintra Mountain, as the local people have for thousands of years; they used to call it the Mountain of the Moon. In the Sintra hills,the National Palace,the Moorish Castle,Pena Palace, Monserrate and Regaleira are all fascinating. The Estoril/Cascais area has a rich historical past.A tantalising range of historical buildings and other sites of cultural interest all lie within easy reach,sea,mountains,forests,unpolluted air and a mild climate. A wide range of sports can therefore be enjoyed here all year round. There are many clubs and centres with the equipment and suitably qualified staff to provide support for almost any sports activity. Sports options range from extreme sports such as parachuting, paragliding, abseiling, rock climbing and mountain cycling to more traditional sports such as horse riding, tennis and golf. The whole coast has excellent facilities for water sports including surfing, windsurfing, body board, kite surf, water skiing and all types of sailing. The Cascais Marina is the main facility for sailors and there are many other sailing clubs in the area. Other activities could include archery, ballooning, carting, jogging or jeep safaris. There are many excellent riding tracks through the woods. Several riding schools in the area hire out horses and offer riding lessons. Go inland and enjoy the wonderful scenery and rural lifestyles or Lisbon a living tapestry of Portugal's colonial past.
