Breathtaking scenery, enchanting villages, art and history can all be found within easy reach, with panoramic views of the Serra do Soajo and beyond to the beautiful Peneda-Geres National Park; an area of spectacular and rugged beauty and where you will find a wealth of interesting botanic and wildlife species, as well as remote villages where life has changed little in generations. Coupled with beauty and tradition, there are also many new local and modern activities on offer such as golf at Ponte de Lima, water sports and mountain biking or why not combine old and new with an archaeological trek in to the national park. Further afield the nearby towns of Ponte do Lima and Arcos de Valdevez offer attractive architecture and a refined ambience with good shops and many restaurants to choose from. At Ponte de Lima historians will enjoy the well preserved Roman bridge and museum of sacred art. This house cleverly reconstructed using stone and glass sit within the tiny hamlet of Sardieiro. On the terrace below there is a private covered swimming pool where one can swim and then relax admiring the view and also a heated SPA.
