Villa in Setubal Descrição
In a wonderfully peaceful setting, yet within easy reach of the coast, this cottage is part of a group of 3 lovely rustic properties all belonging to the same family for generations. The property is set in the beautiful Serra da Arrábida, with wonderful views to the hills and the sea. There was great care in making up the garden with native plants from the area. If you want to have a restful holiday, this is the place!
Yet, all around there is a lot to do for the whole family: within 15kms there is a wide choice of beaches: Figueirinha, Arrábida, Tróia (take the ferry from Setúbal and enjoy a day playing golf and lying on the beach). Golf lovers will be spoilt with the golf courses around the area. A day out in the sea as well as an excursion on the river Sado (dolphin watching) are easily organized.
The Arrábida Natural Park is paradise for walkers and nature lovers, as well as bird-watchers.
All around there is a wide choice of restaurants, with the most delicious fresh fish! And the area is well known for its cheese and pastries….And if you enjoy having a cultural side to your holiday, there are several churches and castles around, well-worth the visit.
Lisbon (45km away) should not be missed!
There is a sitting room with a fire-place and a French window to the large terrace, perfect for an al-fresco meal; fully equipped kitchen/dinning-room (dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, microwave), again with a French window to the terrace; 3 bedrooms (1 double + 2 twins); two bathrooms. There is TV, DVD, Internet and Hi-Fi.
The swimming-pool is shared with the two other cottages – however as it is quite separated from them, guests using it would not be a nuisance to those wanting some peace and quiet! There is a shaded area, with wooden garden furniture and a beautiful stone table. And what a delight to have a siesta on one of the existing hammocks!!
Parents with small children please be aware that the pool is not fenced-in.
