This comfortable villa overlooks the rolling hilltops of Tavira hinterland. A 15 min drive from the quaint and historic town of Tavira. A variety of white, sandy beach islands and lagoons are within a 10-15 minute drive. The house attracts plenty of natural sunlight and is a wonderful space to enjoy. A beautiful terrace and conservatory overlooks the pool and has far reaching views to the sea. 2 double bedrooms, both en-suite. Air conditioning in the master bedroom.1 bedroom with bunk beds. 2 en-suites with toilet, bath tub and shower in one and shower room and toilet in the other. Another bathroom near twin room with toilet and shower. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, Kettle, Toaster and drinks dispensing fridge/freezer, microwave and full service. Utility room with washing machine. Spacious living room with hi-fi, video, television and cable TV, with a few English speaking channels, one 3-seater settee and four armchairs, and open fireplace. Spacious conservatory/dining room with seating for 6 overlooking the pool and terraces. Breakfast on the patio, lounge around the pool, enjoy a fresh fish barbeque and then catch a beautiful sunset from above the forest absorbing the varied hues and shapes of the landscape - what a lovely day! A wonderful and peaceful environment! Not suitable for children within the ages of 2 and 15 years old. The master bedroom is on the first floor with patio doors opening onto a long veranda. Remote controlled air conditioning is available in the master bedroom and there is an electric fan in the other double bedroom. This is a no smoking house. Ashtrays with sand are provided for smoking outside. There is a once-weekly maintenance visit including a once-weekly linen change. Mature gardens surround the property. Tiered terraces, shrubs and palm trees enhance seclusion of the site. Poolside furniture and parasols are provided around the mosaiced 4m x 9m pool, together with an outside shower. A full-sized brick-built barbecue is situated near the kitchen. The property is approached by a private driveway and has a gated entrance, beyond which is a double, roofed car port. The garden around the house and the pathways are lit. Tavira Island beach is a 15 minute drive away. Reached by a short ride in a charming ferry (for a euro return!) you will discover wonderful golden, sandy beaches, beach bars and restaurants on an island 10 miles by 1. Sta Luzia village next to Tavira also has the beautiful beach of Barril, situated in a nature reserve and reached by a toy train. Within the Algarve there are over 100 beaches all within an hour to an hour and a half drive. All you have to do is choose!! Faro town and airport can be reached in 50 mins on the motorway. Transport is needed for this location and we recommend that the client arranges this from the airport or when purchasing flights. Tavira can be reached in 15 mins by car, where there is a large variety of restaurants and supermarkets and daily fruit and fish market. Tavira has a large hypermarket, cinema and shopping complex. One and half hour drive to Seville. Pop over to Spain in 20 minutes to the first town, Ayamonte for Tapas! Follow the Guardiana river dividing Portugal and Spain calling in to the quaint river villages for a lovely day out. Alternatively take a different direction and drive westwards towards Lagos to see the more dramatic rocky coastline. A selection of supermarkets and restaurants are located in Tavira or further afield. The house resides in a conservation area which is a habitat of woodland animals, birds, and wild scented shrubbery. Well-suited to nature lovers, bird watchers, golfers, walkers and families. Tavira is renouned for its 38 historic churches and its four beautiful bridges spanning the Gilao river which divides the town and allows for spectacular riverside views of the medieval town and river life. Numerous cafes and restaurants line the river, public gardens and quiet squares, offering an array of traditional patisseries and fresh fish dishes. The castle walls border the medieval centre of town, encompassing tranquil gardens and a camera obscura. From here scan over the rich tapestry of peaked rooftops to the estuary leading through the mosiac of salt pans and far out into the Atlantic. Just nearby feast your eyes on a spectacular natural waterfall and a true 'blue lagoon'!

30% within one week of request, remaining 70% eight weeks before arrival. Bookings less than 8 weeks before arrival, 100% payable at time of booking. Cancellations less than 4 weeks before arrival, non-refundable. Other cancellations, 25% of deposit refundable. Property will be inspected prior to arrival and departure and all breakages must be refunded in full. During peak time, arrivals and departures are preferably on Saturdays, though we are flexible. The house is normally available from 1pm.
