The apartment is just 2 mins walk to the nearest bar/restaurant in the centre of Nazare and a 10 minute walk to the beach. The apartment enjoys an elevated position therefore the walk back up the hill may take you 15 mins but you can always opt for the bus which stops conveniently close to the apartment. There are also inexpensive taxis. The apartment also benefits from being 10 minutes walk from the historic part of Nazare, Sitio, which is perched on the cliff top. Enjoy stunning views along the coasts from Sitio and catch the funicular to the heart of Nazare.
Getting There
Lisbon Airport is recommended as it is an easy drive along the A8 taking between 50 mins to 1 hour depending on traffic.
If you don't want to hire a car then you can take a taxi from Lisbon airport to Lisbon bus station (15 Euros) and there is a direct regular coach service from there taking just over an hour (7 Euros each way).
Alternatively you can fly to Oporto (2.5 hour drive) or Faro (3.5 hour drive).
