A welcoming and spacious villa which sleeps 2-6 people, 4km from
Tavira and about 8 minutes walk from amenities.
This beautiful villa overlooks the rolling hilltops of the Asseca
valley, and is an 8 minute drive from the quaint and historic town
of Tavira.
A variety of white, sand beach islands and lagoons are within a 10-
15 minute drive away.
The villa attracts plenty of natural sunlight and is a wonderful
space for families to enjoy.
A galleried landing overlooks this comfortable living space with
farmhouse furniture and an inglenook fireplace. Good cross
ventilation and ceiling fans in bedrooms.
This villa has Cable TV with several English speaking channels, SKY
free to View, DVD, pay as you go internet access and a video
player. All with a surround sound system.
A beautiful 8 x 4 mosaiced swimmingpool with far reaching views is
set amongst the almond trees.
Plenty of sun loungers, a built in Barbeque and outdoor shower are
around the pool area, with garden furniture under the pergola, in
or out of the shade on the terracotta patio.
A spacious and airy master bedroom with en-suite bathroom with
power shower opens onto a galleried landing.
The gallery overlooks a large high ceiling living room with 3 big
settees and a farmhouse-style inglenook fireplace with a cast iron
stove.
The windows are all double-glazed with fitted mosquito nets,
consistent throughout the house.
The luxuriously fitted kitchen has a washing machine, 5-ring gas
hob, an electric oven, a large fridge and freezer, a microwave, a
kettle and toaster. The kitchen has beautifully finished units and
granite surfaces with ample storage.
A further double and twin bedroom are also on the ground floor
together with another bathroom with a bath and shower.
Fans are supplied in all the bedrooms in summer. The bedrooms have
ceiling fans. The central heating powered by the fireplace warms
all the villa very efficiently in the winter. Firewood is supplied.
The half-acre garden has almond, lemon, orange and fig trees and is
enclosed by a dry-stone wall. A spacious, sunny and shaded terrace
surrounds the house with pergolas of grape, wisteria and
bougainvillea.
The house is accessed by a track and has a private drive with ample
parking space beside the villa.
An upstairs terrace can be reached by an exterior staircase and is
a perfect spot for a sunset view.
A mosaiced pool with dimensions of 8m x 4m and a depth of 1.8m x 1m
has far-reaching views of the Asseca valley and is very secluded.
The pool is terraced and has an outdoor shower and a built-in
barbeque area at one end.
The house has a large covered patio, which is ideally suited for
outdoor dining.
Tavira Island beach is reached by a short trip in a charming ferry
you will discover wonderful golden beaches, beach bars and
restaurants set on a 12 by 1 mile island. Barril beach , situated
in a nature reserve is reached by a toy train. These are just a
couple of the 100 beaches around this intriguing area.
Tavira is renouned for its 38 historic churches and its four
beautiful bridges spanning the Gilao river which divides the town
and allows for spectacular riverside views of the medieval town and
river life.
Numerous cafes and restaurants line the river, public gardens and
squares, offering an array of traditional patisseries and fresh
fish dishes.
The castle walls border the medieval centre of town , encompassing
tranquil gardens and a camera obscura. From here scan over the rich
tapestry of rooftops to the estuary leading through the maze of
saltpans and far out into the Atlantic.
Just nearby Quinta Tara visit a spectacular natural waterfall!
