On the top floor of a good quality 3-storey building in a quiet area of a thriving fishing town, the apartment is recently redecorated and refurnished to a high standard. There are great views to the fishing harbour and the beaches, which are a few minutes' walk away. This is the Costa Verde, with a great variety of beaches ideal for the family, or for a romantic getaway, or for surfing. The apartment is large and very well equipped. There are 2 bedrooms (one en suite) and another room to use as a sitting room or for two more people, using convertible seating. This room and the lounge open on to a balcony, where there's table and chairs. A fireplace offers comfort in winter too. It's just 500 metres to the town centre, but immediately outside there's an excellent range of local shops. \r\n

\r\nVila Praia de Âncora is popular as a family seaside resort, yet is still unspoilt. The fishing fleet is still working, the beaches are clean, safe and very varied, the restaurants are fantastic and the town itself really attractive. All the amenities you need are here, and everything is within walking distance. Beyond, though, is another world, of mountains and historic towns, quaint forgotten villages and the rugged National Park. And the cities of Oporto and Braga, and Vigo and Santiago in Spain, are easily reached by a new (and still empty) motorway network. All perfect for a family vacation, or a romantic getaway with quiet afternoons on an empty beach, or for touring a region that modern 'progress' has yet to reach.\r\n

Porto airport is 80km away, an hour by motorway. Santiago, Oviedo and Vigo airports are also within reach.

Santander and Bilbao ferry ports are about 6 hours’ drive away.

Reservations are confirmed on payment of a deposit of between 30% and 50%, and the balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. Payment is by Bank Transfer or Paypal.

For cancellations more than 30 days prior to arrival, full refunds will be made (less €30 administrative fee) only if the accommodation is re-let. There are no refunds for cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival. Travel Insurance is advised.
