Villa in Lagos Description
This is a spacious villa with lovely traditional features and a large private pool and extensive garden area. On entering the front hallway there is a guest bathroom on the left and doors lead from the hall into a spacious living area. The open plan living space comprises a comfortable lounge area and dining area. There are also doors from dining area and kitchen to a large covered outside kitchen with built-in barbeque and al fresco dining area with a large additional dining table which has seating for 8/10. This useful outside extra dining area is open to the pool & patio area and is very popular eith guests. There is a useful utility room located behind the main kitchen with fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and extra storage and this links up with the outside kitchen/dining area. A few steps up from the living area is a wide corridor leading to the main bathroom, opposite which is a pretty twin bedroom which opens on the patio/pool area. Next is a double bedroom which opens onto a sunny side patio and the en-suite master bedroom at the end of the corridor opens onto the same side patio. There are ceiling fans in all rooms, and additional fans available if required. This charming spacious detached villa which nestles in a large landscaped private garden is located just minutes away from the Blue Flag family beach at Praia da Luz which offers a variety of water sports, shops and services and lots of excellent restaurants. Also a few minutes drive away, the wonderful city of Lagos has a myriad of narrow cobbled streets lined with small shops, market stalls, cafe bars and restaurants within its ancient town walls, as well as a daily fish market, terrific weekly farm produce market,large marina and sandy beaches. There is lots to do in the area near the villa but you may prefer to spend most of your time at the villa relaxing by the pool and save the sight-seeing and activities for your next visit!

The Algarve is an all-year-round holiday destination because of its long hot summers, mild winters and low rainfall, and because there is an average of 3000 hours of sunshine each year! Praia da Luz is a small popular family resort with a very attractive promenade from the village square, church and fort which leads down to the blue flag beach. Luz has a small local, friendly feel in comparison to the larger more commercial high rise resorts to the east. Everything in the village is in walking distance, and for walkers there is a wonderful coastal and cliff walk, westwards in the direction of Burgau and Salema and eastwards in the direction of Lagos. Lagos is a wonderful walled town with lovely narrow paved streets lined with shops, cafe bars and restaurants providing lots of al fresco dining choices. Families enjoy strolling around Lagos in the evenings, shopping, drinking coffee and people watching in the pleasant, easy atmosphere. Lagos has a weekly market on Saturday mornings where local farmers sell their produce. The market has a terrific array of exotic fruits and vegetables and home made produce as are the wonderful stall holders. The daily fish market on the promenade near the main square has an amazing selection of fresh fish and makes a memorable visit. A drive to explore the dramatic coastline to the west with towering cliffs, sandy coves and picturesque little fishing villages makes a fabulous day out. A visit to see the stunning coastline west to Sagres and Cape St. Vincent and the wild Atlantic western coast with its dramatic cliffs is a must. In contrast, the Monchique Mountains to the north provide amazing views of the whole S.W. coastline which makes up the Parque Natural da Costa Vicentina. The spa and mountains in the Monchique area with its pretty hilltop villages provides wonderful views and scents of the chestnut, pine, mimosa, cork oak trees and wild flowers growing on the hills. Friendly people, superb beaches, breathtaking scenery, fabulous food at reasonable prices - it's not surprising that people return to the Algarve again and again.

Casa Lorenzinha is located between Praia da Luz and Lagos about a mile inland from the coast. A 5 minute drive will get you to Luz or Lagoz and a large choice of beaches.

Holiday starting days and length of stay are flexible. Minimum stay is 7 nights. Extra nights are charged at 1/7th weekly rate. Booking Deposit Euro 200 per week. Balance payable 8 weeks before start of your holiday. The security/damages deposit is Euro 500, payable with the balance payment and is returned 7 days after your holiday VISA and MasterCard accepted and Bank & Internet Transfer, details on request.
