A unique oppurtunity to spend your holiday in a very original and beautifully designed space with all modern comforts and total tranquility!! Ideal for nature lovers, naturalists and lovers of stylish elegance! This fabulously spacious countryside villa has an interior area of more than 300 m2 over split levels. Each window frames the natural surroundings outside like a picture, allowing plenty of natural light to filter in and emphasize the contours and atmosphere... The main house has a sleeping capacity of 4 people (+ 2 optional extra)in two bedrooms. Through large glass doors lies the atelier, an annex with one more bedroom and the possibility of having extra sleeping arrangements on split levels. There are two bathrooms and one cloakroom. One bathroom comprises a beautifully designed walk-in shower, wc and bidet and the other a bath, wc and bidet. The bedrooms are spacious with wooden floors and large beds and comfortable mattresses with mosquito net surroundings. The accomodation is fully air conditioned and has accesses through to various terraces and external areas for dining, lounging and observing the surroundings. A fully equipped kitchen (dishwashing + washing machine + small oven/grill + microwave + juice machine + toaster + blender)presides over a large dining area and the spacious living room. Two large sofas and armchairs furnish the stone floor living room with its many tapestried rugs and interesting objects. Television with satelite ; Astra and UK free-to-view channels and a DVD player and music centre is available. Some steps down on the other side of an open fireplace is a day bed which can double up as an extra sleeping area. Through wide glass doors on either side of the living area are open spaces with seating and dining areas under the shade of olive and carob trees. The annex hosts another bedroom with en suite bathroom and access to a roof terrace with yet more wonderful views. Extra single beds can be made up for extra sleeping guests. Beyond the house, amongst the eucalyptus trees is a 4m x 4m pool with water overflowing to another smaller pool. A marquise tent and hammocks are put up in the summer to allow for enjoying the more shaded living space...cool enough to sleep a midsummer night in listening to the crickets.... The trees and fauna, wildlife and terrain belong to the ecological conservation area that reaches far into the landscape of rolling hills. Details of optional sleeping arrangements available: up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms in main house 4 to 6 people in 2 bedrooms and open living bedroom in main house = extra 150 euros 6 to 8 people in 2 bedrooms in main house plus 1 or 2 bedrooms in annex = extra 400 euros The accomodation is within 20 km from Faro airport and only 15 km from Tavira and 17 km from a variety of beautiful beaches, and 1.7km (8 minute drive) from Santa Catarina with amenities and a couple of good traditional restaurants. This villa is the home and creation of a local architect and his family. While they would like that this space is thoroughly enjoyed during your holiday rental, safety awareness must be stressed with elements such as split levels, edges without barriers and hard floors. This property may not be ideal for children under 10 years of age or elderly people.
