Casinhoto is a charming family retreat, well located near beaches, the historic town of Tavira and amidst plenty of nature. This 4 bedroom house has ample space and enclosed gardens with lawns and a pool.
Tucked down a quiet lane, amidst fields and orchards, Casinhoto offers plenty of tranquility. The grounds are enclosed and there plenty of off-road parking space beyond the electric gate entrance.
There are lawns beside the pool and next to the orchard, patios and terraces, including an ancient well which has been covered and is now used ornamentally.
The interior of Casinhoto is cool and comfortable, modern and antique. The kitchen is new and fully fitted, with a large open dining area for large families to fit around. In the old hearth room is an extra sofa bed. Some steps down are the living area and one double bedroom and a bathroom.
On the second floor there are 2 double bedrooms, a bathroom and a twin bedroom with bunk beds, suitable for children. There are mosquito nets on all windows and fans provided in each bedroom.
The pool is 4m x 6m with a ladder leading into a depth of 1.2m. A freshwater pool with a chlorine cleaning system. The pool is serviced twice weekly during summer and once weekly during the rest of the year by a competent and reliable professional. Garden lighting is available.

This is a safe environment for children as it is fully enclosed and the pool is raised from ground level.
There is a cot and high chair provided. Please let us know if you have any other requirements.
Eight sun loungers deck the terrace around the pool and there are sun umbrellas, tables and seating for 10 people available.
A very peaceful and quiet rural setting, yet within easy reach of all amenities.
Luz de Tavira is the local village 2km away, offering shops, cafés, a mini supermarket and other amenities. There are very good restaurants in the area, especially in the fishing villages of Pinheiros and Santa Luzia, 5km away.
The beautiful beach islands of Barril, Fuzeta and Terra Estreita are within 5- 6km distance from the house.
There are excellent golf courses within 3 -10 km from the accommodation. The closest is Maragota, only 3km away and further away are Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima, Monte Rei.

Which is the changeover day and time?
Flexible, though we aim to keep bookings as close as possible. Departure is by 10am and arrival is from 2pm unless otherwise arranged.
Are linen, bath towels and beach towels provided?
Yes, we provide a once weekly linen and bathroom towel change including a clean of the bathrooms.
Will there be provisions at the accommodation upon arrival?
There will be some toilet paper and soap for arrivals and a hamper of beverages, with additional breakfast and snacks are provided for late arrivals.
Is a car recommended for this property?
Use of a car is preferable, especially in the heat of summer…and for reaching all the beautiful and interesting places further afield. Car rental, taxi transfers and bicycle hire can be organized with local reputable firms in advance or by calling the local representative.
Will there be a local representative available on arrival and in the event that we need any assistance?
Guests will be met at the house, or otherwise informed where to locate the key and visited soon after arrival. We ensure a prompt and competent service from a team of property managers, who can be contacted at anytime.

We require a 30% deposit within one week of reservation and the balance up to 8 weeks prior to arrival. Bookings made less than 8 weeks prior to arrival must be paid in full within one week of reservation.
There is an extra charge of 100 euro for occupancy of more than 6 people.
