Gela-mar has been completely renovated – there is a brand new open
plan kitchen and dining room with informal sunken lounge room. All
new furnishings, curtains and bedding. The bathrooms are completely
renovated to be walk in wet rooms with fixtures to a modern high
standard.

The villa is suitable for up to 8 people. There are three master
bedrooms and an additional interconnecting twin bedroom which is
also can be used as a second sitting room with TV, dvd player and
Playstation games console. Also laptop and internet access.

Outdoors there is a built in bbq, Portuguese style tiled dining
table with benches also a sink and fridge (so your beer and wine
can stay nice and cold poolside), the south facing pool is kidney
shaped with easy steps to enter the water. There are two roof
terraces – perfect for al fresco dining in the evening and also
grabbing those last rays of sunshine at the end of the day. If you
look through the palm trees you can even see the ocean too !

Dunas Douradas is an upmarket, luxury development, situated by the
beach between Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago and lies in some 76
acres of African pine trees. It is a safe, family-friendly resort
with a Roman communal pool and a children’s pool. There is a pool-
bar serving all-day food and a reception area which is open 24
hours a day, where the friendly staff will help you with anything
from booking tours and discount golf to recommending one of the
many excellent restaurants in the area. There are two tennis courts
with a resident pro for lessons for all ages. The resort is guarded
by 24hr security.

shower rooms, intercommunicating twin bedroom with bathroom.
Bathrooms (4): 3 modern walk in wet/shower rooms and 1 bathroom and
additional wc.
Kitchen: Fridge, freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave,
espresso machine, kettle, toaster, full compliment of utensils,
crockery and cookware.
Living Room: Plasma TV, heating – open log fire in winter, air
conditioning, CD player, cable TV, iPod stereo, Playstation games
console.
Utility Room: Children's beach toys, beach umbrella, ironing board,
iron and cleaning products, washing machine.
Other Toiletries, welcome basket, children's books and toys,
outdoor table, chairs and sunloungers, bbq, outdoor fridge, two
roof top sun terraces. All bedrooms, lounge and dining room have
air conditioning.
Cleaning/ towels/ linen/ maid service: Mid stay maid service, bath
and beach towels supplied, bedding supplied.

Car not necessary although we recommend that you hire a car to make
the most of the fantastic facilities in the area. If you are a bit
unsure of driving from the airport we can arrange a personal meet and
greet service from/to the airport in a registered private car and also
supply baby/car chairs for the children. Then you can have your hire
car delivered to the villa at your convenience.There is plenty of off
street secure parking for your car.


In Almancil (5 minutes drive) has Apolonia Supermarket (excellent
continental selection of foods and wine) they accept all major credit
cards and next door is Aldi (cash only or Portuguese registered multi
banco cards). In Faro (15 minutes drive) there is a large shopping
centre with Jumbo and Pingo Doce supermarkets. Just up the hill in
Loule there are several supermarkets including Continente, Modelo,
Pingo Doce and Lidl.

Hire Car: Recommended

Faro airport is a short drive away only 15 minutes, or we can arrange a
taxi pick up for you. We can arrange car hire for you.
Full directions will be forwarded on booking.

Changeover days are flexible but during the summer months it is more
likely to be on a Saturday or Wednesday. It is necessary to vacant the
apartment by 10.30am on the day of departure in the high season.
