Ground floor: modern and well equipped kitchen, toilet, large living/dining room with open fire place and doors opening into the garden and large terraces, with views over the river Tâmega and beautiful countryside.
The house is classically decorated and very comfortable.
Natural beauty, history, gastronomy, verde wine and comfort, all of which you will discover in this recovered stone house that maintains its medieval traces, with excellent sun exposure and only 1 hour from Porto.
The property has more than 100 hectares (divided in two by the Tâmega River), where the “vinho verde” is produced and is the ex-libris of this region of great beauty, with valleys and mountains where an abundance of water runs freely (see Google “Terras de Basto”). If you would like to witness the grape harvest then come in September. The grapes are still hand-picked and are foot trodden in traditional shallow, open granit troughs, known as lagares, by local labourers, some of whom still live on the estate, while a mixture of aromas fill the air. Near the swimming pool and river are the garden and patios with shady old oranges trees, where comfortable garden furniture (tables, chairs and benches) make it an ideal spot for alfresco meals, while enjoying the idyllic scenery and view over the Tâmega River and mountains.
