This beautifully renovated farm house comprises 2 bedrooms in the
Main house, a generous Guesthouse with 1 bedroom plus another
bedroom in an annex to the main house. The whole property with pool
and 4 bedrooms combined is available during august, the rest of the
year only the Guesthouse and pool is available.
A welcoming, peaceful and rural setting of 2.5 hectares with lovely
views over fields with almond, citrus, cork and olive trees, the
essence of the Algarvian countryside. Ample terraces lead from the
house, offering covered patios with a choice of sofas and table
seating, sunny spaces overlooking the wonderful pool and gardens –
a traditional extension of your Mediterranean outdoor living space

There is a ping pong table set out under a shaded threshing circle
in the garden.
Respect and careful consideration has been given to maintain and
embellish the splendid original features and craftwork throughout
this property, combined with artistic, practical and comfortable

The main house at O Monte offers a large living space with a
beautifully crafted open kitchen. Wooden doors and windows look out
and lead to stunning natural surroundings. There are two beautiful
double bedrooms with original vaulted ceilings off to one side of
the living room, with a bathroom in between. Another bathroom is
located on the other side of the living room.
The Guesthouse has its own entrance and comprises a living room and
kitchen/dining room on the ground floor and a double bedroom (twin
beds that can zip together or apart), bathroom and large roof
terrace on the first floor. There is also an inviting terrace by
the kitchen, which leads down to the pool side terrace.
The annex has a twin bedroom and bathroom and is located opposite
the entrance to the main house.
There is broadband internet throughout the property.
Quality sun loungers deck the terrace around the pool and there are
sun umbrellas, tables and chairs available. Hammocks and quiet
seating areas integrated in the surroundings for peaceful
reflection…
Dip into this wonderful 10 x 4m pool with steps leading into a
shallow end of 80cm and a deep end of 3m. Freshwater pool with Salt
cleaning system. The pool is serviced twice weekly during summer
and once weekly during the rest of the year by a competent and
reliable professional. Pool and garden lighting is available.
This accommodation is suitable for children of all ages, the
Guesthouse can also cater for one or two smaller children.
There is a cot and high chair provided. Please let us know if you
have any other requirements.
This property would comfortably cater for elderly or less mobile
people.

O Monte is the perfect ‘get-away’ setting of truly peaceful and
tranquil countryside environment.
There are good amenities just 1000 metres away, offering some good
traditional restaurants, cafés, bakery, mini supermarket, a bank and
some shops.
Splendid beaches can be reached within 20 minutes drive.
There are excellent golf courses within approximately 20 minutes drive
from the accommodation. The closest are Benamor, Quinta da Ria and
Quinta da Cima, Monte Rei.
The owner has a friendly yet very independent cat who will rarely
venture in the house during the month of August when the whole
premises is available for rental. During the rest of the year the
owner and her dog and cat reside at the main house, though their
presence is scarce.
Flexible changeover days, though we aim to keep bookings as close as
possible. Departure is by 10am and arrival is from 3pm unless
otherwise arranged.
Linen, bath towels are supplied and a once weekly linen and bathroom
towel change is provided including a clean of the bathrooms. Beach
towels are not provided.
There will be some toilet paper and soap for arrivals and a hamper of
beverages, with additional breakfast and snacks, provided for late
arrivals, on request and paid locally.
Car hire is recommended for this property especially in the heat of
summer…and for reaching all the beautiful and interesting places
further afield. Car rental, taxi transfers and bicycle hire can be
organized by us with local reputable firms in advance or by calling
the local representative.
Guests will be met at the villa, or otherwise informed where to locate
the key and visited soon after arrival. A prompt and competent service
from the owner and a team of property managers,can be contacted at
anytime.
Additional information:
During August bookings will be taken for the whole premises of O
Monte; combining the Main house, Guesthouse and Annex, with a total
sleeping capacity of 8 (+2 extra children).
During the rest of the year, not including August, the owner and her
dog and cat live in the Main house. Only the Guesthouse is available
for rentals.
We would ask guests during August to kindly feed the cat once daily,
if this in any way poses a problem, the owner will make alternative
arrangements for the cat to reside elsewhere.
