Casal de Aboadela is a Farmhouse surrounded by the mountains (Serra do Marão) between Amarante and Vila Real. Once off the main road you twist and turn along the narrowest of lanes to a sleepy hamlet and this farmhouse. The gardens, magical and meandering, promise a bridged brook, a wood-fired oven, gourds and pumpkins. The vineyards offer a lavish wine that you can taste as an welcome gift.

Inside the property there are two stone cottages where you can stay independently from the main house. Both have a small kitchen and living-room. One has been decorated in a modern style and has two bedrooms each with its onw private bathroom. Facing the orange tree garden allows the visitors to enjoy the serenety of the countryside. The other cottage has one bedroom/private bathroom in a rustic style near the wine-press, ´canastro´ and a typical barn-floor. Casal de Aboadela offers a magnificent view that provides a comforting tourist alternative, favoring the contact with Nature.

The nearest airport is in Porto, a 35-40 minutes from Casal. Take IP4-A4-A3.
