The early name of Quinta das Cegonhas in founding days of 17th century was Quinta das Fidalgas which meant House of the Royalties . Quinta nowadays simply means farm . House of Storks this is what Quinta das Cegonhas stands for in meaning of modern Portuguese language.

The farm contains main house some stables & is surrounded by ground. The lower and civilized part of this area is used as camping area, while still existing traditional main house serves as central point and welcome meeting area for our camping guests. The main house is recently restored in original style.

Now house is able to offer rooms and apartments for rent a fine restaurant with nice bar and warmfull reception. The province Beira Alta where our campsite is situated has the advantage of a very authentic and quiet atmosphere thanks to is big parts of pure and untouched nature. The native people living their simple ways, meet visitors with natural friendliness.

Neighbour villages such as Folgosinho and Linhares are worth while visiting and with some imagination transfer us easily back into history. In surrounding areas of camping place there are plenty of occasions to walk, hike, bike, para-panting and other sports.

Camping Park The camp is part of Quinta and is spread over several terraces behind house. Accessible via ramp on left of house. The various terraces give the site a huge expanse and provide for wide views. The 30 pitches are spacious and not defined. The lower terraces are current cases with 6 and 10 Camps on all terraces and water points are located.

Directly to entrance is a motor-home for the discharge of gray water and filling tank. Together with a front garden, originally kept with its flowers and stone banks, Quinta has special entrance including its radiation of rich authentic rural live. It provides joyful stay to people who prefer hospitality and pleasure of contacts with others.

The camping site as several grass terraces with a wide panoramic scene view surrounded by well treated bushes of region. Fruit & other trees complete terrace environment giving even more individual privacy to our guests. We have several rooms/apartments, to offer complete hosting service and satisfy the desire of comfortable and refined ambiance to our guests.

Camping terrain with wide and generous places to stay with your caravan to tent. Swimming pool and a smaller one for children, Swing. At Quinta das Cegonhas you can find the sanitary block includes warm showers. At sanitary you find private accommodation used by disabled guests. Guests can do several sports Table-tennis. Or at our games room playing cards, checkers, chess.

Lodging: Rooms and Apartments The main building of Quinta das Cegonhas was restored to allow us to offer our visitors several lodging options. More than well known Camping Park, Quinta das Cegonhas also has 2 apartments and 2 rooms, with capacity to 4 people each. Both rooms and apartments have several windows with stone seats, from witch you can appreciate the magnificent panoramic scene view.

All lodgings possesses central heating, private bath, exterior garden space and everything needed for enjoyable stay in a comfortable and warm lodging. This is nice place for to stay with your family or friends. We are looking forward to welcome you.

Bungalow's We are building 3 new holiday houses.

On Quinta das Cegonhas it’s customary that our guests meet at night in our restaurant to enjoy meal with us. And in case you’ve got something to celebrate the restaurant is available for groups from 6 up to 100 persons. We will be glad to inform you about possibilities.

Around main house are swimming pool, terrace and newly constructed sanitary buildings; while reception is joined with bar are easily to be reached within building.
