Overlooking the dunes and just a few hundred metres from a nice sandy beach at the edge of a pine forest, with views across a wide bay, this is the heart of the Costa Verde. Beautiful unspoiled scenery, clean sandy beaches, dozens of great restaurants, a simple rural way of life almost forgotten in other parts of Europe and wonderful environment - clean air and water, little traffic or noise, very few tourists - make this area ideal for a stress-free, relaxing vacation. The villa is on the edge of a tiny beachside hamlet which - along with the beach - has seen some recent up-market development, and it's a very desirable place to be. The villa is amongst half a dozen houses, immediately facing the dunes and beach, where there's a great fish restaurant and bar. All along the coast there are many more beaches to suit all tastes. A great location for relaxing on the beach, or for touring around exploring to mountains and countryside. It's a large, spacious, family home, extremely well equipped for a perfect self-catering vacation by the beach. Downstairs, a bedroom, bathroom, the open plan lounge and dining room with TV and DVD and plenty of comfy seating, and a large kichen with breakfast table and semicircular bay window looking out to the garden. Upstairs, another three bedrooms and a second bathroom. Some bedrooms have a sea view; one is a large children's room under the eaves, with space for up to 5 children to sleep. Outside, the house is surrounded on four sides by a fenced garden, laid to lawn and with several shrubs and trees. A barbecue provides the opportunity to enjoy the garden well into the evening, and there's also plenty of garden furniture too. Villa Dunas offers a comfortable home-from-home rather than the sterile atmosphere of a new, pristine development, with its slightly 'lived-in' feel that makes it all the more pleasant to be in, especially being so close to the sea.

Porto airport is about 80km away - less than an hour's drive by motorway. Gelfa is also accessible by train from Porto.
Vigo and Santiago de Compostela airports in Spain are also possible arrival points.
Santander and Bilbao ferry ports are both about 7 h

Rates are quoted in Euros. Reservations are confirmed on payment of a deposit of between 30% and 50%, and the balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. Payment is by Bank Transfer or Paypal.

For cancellations more than 30 days prior to arrival, full refunds will be made (less €30 administrative fee) only if the accommodation is re-let. There are no refunds for cancellations less than 30 days prior to arrival. Travel Insurance is advised.

The number of persons must be agreed at time of booking. We reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice, and without refund, for breach of this condition.
