Casa do Mar is a unique beachside villa in a prime location just above a virtually 'private' beach. Your nearest neighbour along the coastal frontage is the exclusive boutique hotel/restaurant of Vila Joya. The heated swimming pool, in the rear garden, has the most amazing sea views. This Algarve holiday villa is reminiscent of a colonial beach house with wooden floors; simply and stylishly furnished. The main beach at Galé is just a short walk, with typical Portuguese restaurants and water sport activities. This fantastic villa is also close to Salgados Golf Course - less than 5 minutes by car. Inside the immaculately maintained villa garden there is a boules court and table tennis is also available. A welcome basket for our guests is offered on arrival incl. a bottle of Portugese champagne. The garden is lit in the evenings, really adding to that feeling of tropical paradise! The kitchen, in stainless steel, with American style fridge, freezer and ice maker and cocktail blender, is fully equipped for guests who love cooking...although if you prefer to throw a sardine on the grill you'll also be well catered for - as there's also an outdoor barbecue centre. There's also a washing machine and dishwasher. In the hotter months each room benefits from its own individually adjustable air conditioning unit and in winter these double as heaters, offering an excellent location for all year round holidays, either for families or groups. The price of this heating is included, as is the pool heating all year round. Golfers particularly find this a great location for taking advantage of the many courses throughout the Algarve coastline, being situated about half way along the coastline. Salgados Course is just 1km from the house. Although the villa is close to a main beach, and within walking or a short driving distance from restaurants, beach bars, golf and other villas, the location right on the sea front means that it is relativly isolated - you have no idea when in either villa or garden that there's any other property around.; The most noise you are likely to hear is from the waves on the beach just below. The villa is just about 100 metres from the main Galé Praia but is separated from that beach by one of the fantastic rock formations this stretch of the Algarve coastline is famous for. As a result you can't see Gale Beach and the holidaymakers there can't see you. And only when the tide is out is it at all possible to make your way from the main beach to the stretch of beach outside the villa, making it almost your own private domain. *Please note that the villa sleeps a maximum of 10 including young children.
