Quinta do Alto da Serra is an elegant modern house in a property located near Azeitão, on a hill overlooking the valley below, in the heart of the mountain. The property is immaculate, light and airy, and superbly decorated with modern and beautiful furnishings throughout. All rooms of the house overlook the terrace, pool and mountain through large glass windows. The house itself retains its farmhouse charm by incorporating many traditional Portuguese elements such as slate tile floors, and open wooden ceilings. The villa is surrounded by a delightfully landscaped garden, cared for by a gardener/care taker who sleeps in a nearby house. The outdoor living spaces take full advantage of the view and the garden. Included with barbecue area, the terrace is furnished with a table and chairs. Swimming pool complete with lounge chairs and deck furniture. Near the pool are three nets suspended ideal for afternoon reading sessions or just for a nap. Quinta do Alto da Serra is comfortably set on just one floor. The kitchen is fully equipped for all of your cooking needs. Adjacent to the kitchen are a sunny single room with ensuite shower bathroom and a small pantry with all utilities. From this area you can also access the fantastic living room with a fireplace and an adjoining dining room with a table and chairs that seat up to eight people. Both of these rooms are sunny and bright, and stylishly furnished, with an absolutely breathtaking view! On the right from the entrance door at the bottom of the corridor is the amazing master bedroom with a king size bed, a TV and an ensuite bathroom with a big shower. The light radiates throughout the room and the feeling of well being is unique. The view is breathtaking and you can literally say you have the mountains at your feet. Back to the corridor there are two other bedrooms with twin beds in each, a complete bathroom with tub shared by both, and a guest bathroom near the entrance. All bathrooms in the property are in stone and beautifully appointed for guests’ use. The cottage is at 50m from the main house. Has 2 twin bedrooms (one of the rooms has 2 beds under), a small living, a kitchenette and a wc. Sleeps a maximum of 6 guests. The cottage has an extra cost of €500 per week.

Arrábida area is full of green fields, mediteranean trees and wild vegetation defining hillside boundaries. However the word Azeitão conjures up not only alluring vistas, and food prepared with straight-from-the-garden ingredients, but also delicious wines, fabulous typical sweets and home made cheese. In addition to the incomparable wine Cellars and the rolling hills of the countryside, Arrábida also boasts 20 miles of coastline. From the resort of the Troia peninsula, to other destinations such as Sesimbra, and the beautiful Caparica beaches, or even Lisbon, Cascais, and so on there is truly much to be explored. From Quinta do Alto da Serra, there are a variety of trips and attractions to enjoy. In Setubal, only fifteen kms away, you’ll find fabulous fish restaurants, a daily market, traditional fairs, and piazzas vibrant with life. In Sesimbra six miles away, you’ll find a characteristic fisherman city, typical architecture, historical landmarks, and several cultural and artistic diversions.. At a distance of twenty five miles is Lisbon, where you’ll be astounded by its historic and cultural sites. If you are interested in the beach, you can either take a boat in Setubal with your car to cross Sado river, to Troia peninsula or just drive through the Arrabida coastline where you can find several access to beaches.

Main house prices are for 7 people. The cottage is for 6 people and costs €500 per week Prices include: linen and towels, final cleaning. On two week stay cleaning is provided weekly and linen change. To book is by bank transfer 40% deposit non refundable upon booking 60% a month prior to arrival Required refundable Security Deposit 500€ to pay in cash at arrival. Easter, Christmas and Carnival are considered high season.
