Afife is a small coastal village still to be discovered by mass tourism. The village lies sandwiched between the sea and forests on the rim of the 'Serra d' Arga' mountains. It has many grand estates with large, traditional oldfashioned farmsteads (quinta's). Clus tered around the old Victorian station are a few of the village bars and small restaurants. The charming little streets and country roads give ample opportunity for walks. The four kilometer long sandy beach is quiet, even in high season. The beautiful countryside behind offers many possibilities for excursions, with the historic small town of Viana do Castelo just nine kilometres away.
