Casa Laranja offers a vibrant and generous combination of
Mediterranean gardens and traditional architecture providing a secret
niche in the Algarve, perfect for large family gatherings. This 5
bedroom country villa comfortably sleeps 10 people with an optional 2
bedroom cottage sleeping a further 4 people within the 5000m2
premises.
The walled gardens and ample terraces are ideal for outdoor living
with inviting nooks, shaded seating areas with a built in barbeque
surrounding a splendid pool. There is a gated entrance and a long
driveway that leads around an area of open land to the cottage.
In the main villa, welcoming, cool rooms lead from the cosy living
room with 3 sofas, music centre, satellite TV and DVD. Wide corridors
follow on to two en suite double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and studio
room on the ground floor. Leading through to the kitchen is a farm
house style dining room and another bathroom. The fitted kitchen is
fully equipped and practical with seating inside or immediately
outside on the covered terrace. The first floor has two twin bedrooms
and a bathroom.
The cottage echoes the rustic and colourful style of the main house
and is located on the other side of the pool terrace and is self
contained. It has kitchen facilities adjoining the living room, a
double bedroom and a twin bedroom and bathroom all on the ground floor
level.
10 Quality sun loungers deck the terrace around the pool and there are
sun umbrellas, a variety of tables and chairs available.
A beautiful 10m x 5m pool with steps in a roman end leads into a
shallow end of 80cm to 1.2m and a deep end of 2m. This is a freshwater
pool with salt cleaning system. The pool is serviced twice weekly
during summer and once weekly during the rest of the year by a
competent and reliable professional. Pool and garden lighting is
available.
A lovely environment for children of all ages, however, the pool is
not fenced and so children must be supervised at all times.
What facilities are there for babies and children?
There is a cot and high chair provided. Please let us know if you have
any other requirements.
Casa Laranja is suitable for elderly as there is a choice of bedrooms
on the ground floor and the terrain is manageable as it is mostly on
one level.

Although the property is not overlooked, it is semi-detached with a
small house at the end of the building by the kitchen, divided off by
a wall and fence.
A short drive off a tarmac road leads to the gated entrance of Casa
Laranja.
This is generally a quiet countryside location, with small farm
holdings nearby. A couple of dogs reside in the neighbours land and in
the near vicinity there is a quarry.
There are a selection of amenities 7km away in Moncarapacho and São
Brás, though smaller outlets can be located between 2 and 3km away
from Casa Laranja.
The charming beach island of Fuzeta is the nearest beach, located 11km
from the villa, with a variety of other beaches slightly further away.
There are excellent golf courses within 10 to 25 minutes drive from
the accommodation. The closest are smaller courses and more complete
courses can be found in the direction of Spain or to the west of Faro.
Ashtrays are provided for smoking outside the property.
Due to the possibility of guests being allergic to animal hair, we
would rather not allow pets.

Arrival and departure dates are flexible, though we aim to keep
bookings as close as possible. Departure is by 10am and arrival is
from 4pm unless otherwise arranged.
We provide a once weekly linen change and mid week bathroom towel
change including a clean of the bathrooms on request.
There will be some toilet paper and soap for arrivals and an optional
welcome hamper of varying sizes, on request, which can be paid
locally. Please enquire.
We recommend hiring a car, especially in the heat of summer…and for
reaching all the beautiful and interesting places further afield. Car
rental, taxi transfers and bicycle hire can be organized with local
reputable firms in advance or by calling the local representative.
Guests will be met at the villa, or otherwise informed where to locate
the key and visited soon after arrival. We ensure a prompt and
competent service from a team of property managers, who can be
contacted at anytime.
