Located in a charming neighbourhood just 15 minutes walk from the heart of Tavira, and 5-10 minutes walk from cafes and shops. Sample the tranquil Portuguese lifestyle and fresh cuisine, Tavira is a superb region for a relaxing holiday for all ages.

A large patio surrounding the 9.5 x 4.1 m pool with a depth of 1 to 2m provides a secure and private area with plenty of garden furniture for relaxing, eating out and playing around.

The villa has plenty of terraces leading from the bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom and a 5 x 13m rooftop terrace with far reaching sea views beyond Tavira.

Well located for reaching a variety of beautiful golf courses and white sand beaches in the near vicinity, Tavira offers a host of beautiful sights and places to visit.

Satellite TV (SKY free to air) DVD player and national TV entertainment in a beautifully decorated livingroom with leather sofas and chairs.

A large fully-equipped kitchen with dining inside or outside on the adjoining covered terrace with a built-in barbeque area with sink.

All five bedrooms and the living room are air-conditioned and have mosquito screens.

The bedrooms are on the ground floor and the first floor and all have comfortable king size mattresses, one bedroom has two single beds. Three bedrooms have balconies.

There are three full bathrooms, one on each floor, one which is en-suite and one has a whirlpool spa bath.

There is a toilet in the large garage on the lower ground floor, leading out to the patio.

Tavira has all amenities and a vast choice in good restaurants, bars and pavement cafes. Divided by a small river crossed by pedestrian and Roman bridges, Tavira remains an authentic and charming tapestry of old and new, a legacy from its colourful past.

Summer brings a variety of outdoor and cultural entertainment to Tavira, including 2 outdoor cinema festivals, concerts and street theatre performances.

Fresh water streams, small waterfalls and rivers merge with the warmest seas of the Atlantic which lines a 12km white sand stretch of semi-duned islands, creating plenty of idylic places to discover... A haven for fishing and cockle picking!

Daytime entertainment for children can be found in the large water parks on the otherside of Faro, which run most of the year due to the good climate.

Tavira Island is the more lively of a selection of beautiful beaches in the area. Reached by small ferry boats and boat-taxis that regularly travel up and the Gilao river, dotted with many colourful and traditional fishing boats and yachts.

The island has a good choice of restaurants and bars, which continue serving late into the night. Quieter, less populated beaches can be reached either by car, miniature train and on foot, all belonging to the Ria Formosa nature reserve, home to a wide variety of wildlife.

About 5 minutes car drive away are Benamor golf course and Quinta da Cima and Quinta da Ria. Beautifully maintained golf courses, par 72, around 5,500 - 6,110m, 18 hole, well situated with coastal views.
15 minutes drive away is a new well reputed course: Monte Rei.

Car hire is not essential, though an advantage for seeing all the beauty and places of interest this region has to offer.

Taxi from Faro shouldn't cost more than 40 euros. Jerez de Fronteira, in Spain is another airport option, being only about 3 hours drive away. Seville is reached within 2 hours and Lisbon in 3.5 hours.
