For centuries it belonged to the illustrious Leal family, whose members were Counselor and Governor Viscounts.

It is surrounded by water courses (levadas), footpaths and breathtaking landscapes, sea, valleys and mountains. Here you can “breathe” culture, history and the fragrance of wild flowers.
