to explore this fascinating region.

Douro river, such as the lively local town of Marco de Canaveze

the interesting town of Amarante, a must with its excellent shops,
good restaurants, a museum and beautiful golf course (
www.amarantegolfclube.com ). Close-by there is the Mosteirô train
station which will take you to Spain and Porto.
Further still one should not miss the opportunity to visit the
historical Porto city with its beautiful riverside quarters,
renowned Port-wine cellars or a boat trip on the Douro River.
