The house has two twin-bedded-rooms and 5 double rooms, a bar, a reading-room, a living-room, where the rustic and the functional are combined. The living-room is no doubt the noble area, where the austerity of the stone is broken by the fire that warms the atmosphere and is indeed a pleasant invitation to the guests.

The Farm, Its Facilities & Accommodation :

It’s a House inside a farm of about 3 hectares, surrounded by vineyards, which provides tourists with a comfortable accommodation as tourism in a rural environment all year round.

The House was built in 1920 and was rebuilt in 2000/2001, showing the characteristics of the architecture and materials of the region.

The building has two floors: on the ground-floor there is a bedroom with a private bathroom, central heating and TV, a game-room and a typical cellar, a large living-room with a fireplace and the reception room.

On the first floor there is a bedroom for the family and other 5 bedrooms with private bathrooms, central heating and TV for the use of the guests, a reading-room, a kitchen and a dining-room.

Outside there are washrooms and toilets, a bar, a porch with a barbecue, a baker’s oven and the vineyard. There are lawns around the swimming-pool and a tennis-court.

The Quinta da Vinha Morta Wine :

The farm produces and bottles wine of an excellent quality. Red and White - €5 per bottle.

Monastery of S. João de Tarouca : From the 13th century linked to the name of D. Afonso Henriques, the first Portuguese King. The Bridge of Ucanha : It has a fortification and its architecture is unique in the country.

How to get there : - The House of the “Quinta da Vinha Morta” is situated in Gouviães, concelho of Tarouca, district of Viseu, in the north of Portugal near the River Douro. It is 10kms far from Lamego and 60kms from Viseu.
