Only 20 minutes from Faro International Airport. This unique 18th century property was originally a farmhouse which, with careful thought, has been modernised into spacious and stylish accommodation. Situated in a peaceful rural setting surrounded with flora, fauna and amazing views over the hills and town of Sao Bras de Alportel. Accessed via a gated driveway leading to a large parking area to the side of the Villa. The cottage is opposite the Villa and there are other out-buildings adjacent forming a courtyard with a fountain in the centre which is shaded from the sun by a large palm tree. This spacious property is tastefully furnished with all the necessary modern facilities, appliances and comforts whilst retaining the original stone steps, arches and enormous fireplace. There are six bedrooms, plus two additional bedrooms in the cottage. Five bathrooms, Guest WC on the ground level and one bathroom in the cottage A Large fully equipped kitchen. Three living rooms (including separate TV room) and one in the cottage A Dining room leading into a conservatory area Plus a Games Room. Outside; wonderful furnished terraces, dining areas and BBQ, Steps down to the swimming pool, sun shades and loungers. In the past S�o Br�s de Alportel was the biggest cork producing centre in Portugal, today it�s an ideal place to stay if you want to avoid the more crowded resorts. Beautiful countryside, valleys of pine, eucalyptus and pools of crystal clear spring water. Enjoy the local cooking which is scented with fresh herbs picked in the hills, almond confectionery which is especially popular at Easter time and excellent Portuguese wines. A spirit slowly distilled from the fruit of the arbutus trees that grow in the hills is used to make excellent herbal liqueurs - tasty! A short drive from the Villa you have, Faro, Loule and Albufeira. Faro is approx. 20 minutes drive, here you have a great choice of shops, cafes and restaurants This lovely town has an historic centre (�cidade velha�) with Cathedral and Bishop�s palace. There is also a marina and train station. Loul� is famous for it�s 14th century castle and the Saturday market! Albufeira for great nightlife, restaurants and shopping. The Algarve coast is well known for its golden sand beaches, cafes, restaurants and sporting activities including tennis, water sports, horse riding and excellent golf courses.
