This is an original granite stone village, so typical of this region, with seven cottages and a manor house. In restoring the village, the community spirit was kept intact. Large green common spaces, with orchard, herb- and vegetable garden, swimming pool and outdoor eating terrace connect the houses. Casa da Vinha is a spacious and luminous cottage, with 3 bedrooms with ensuite bathroom, big living room, kitchen, terrace.

Vila Real is the biggest city in the Douro Valley. In town you’ll find a large rank of restaurants and shops. The Douro Valley was the first demarked wine region in the world and the first Unesco World Heritage Wine Region site. It is considered by National Geographic as the 7th World’s Sustainable Tourism Destination Besides the stunning beauty of it’s views, wine tasting, gourmet restaurants, boat trip, water skiing and other activities are available.

Casa de Mateus is 2,5 kms from us. Visit it’s gardens and museum and spare some time for Wine Tasting. Natural Park of Alvão starts 8 kms from us and offers one of the last sustainable agriculture destinations in Europe. Animals and labour are communitarian. In summer, swimming in river with waterfall are a must. We are in the perfect location for visiting the region: 1 hour to Porto; 40 mns to Amarante; 30 mns to Chaves and Pinhão; 15 mns to Regua; 25 mns to Provezende or Lamego.

Take the left to Vila Real Centro and then left again at the roundabout near to the Army facilities towards MATEUS/SABROSA.
