The river beaches are at walking distance and the sea front with nice beaches are in Spain and Portuguese side.
From Vila Nova de Cerveira there's a motorway access to many other interesting places such as Viana do Castelo, 20 minutes, Ponte de Lima 30min. and Porto (1 hour) .
