PRIVACY STATEMENT

Choose Spain Ltd values the privacy of all site visitors and clients. We do not use your personal information to send unsolicited emails and will never knowingly pass on your information to third parties. By entering your details on our enquiry forms you are NOT placed on our mailing list. Our policy is to only send updates on the site to site clients advertising with us.

Collection and use of personal information

The site may collect information about your visit, including which pages you view, IP address, host name, browser type, date and time you visited the site and and the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked directly to our site. This information is used to fine tune our pages to specific browsers, analyze trends troubleshoot technical problems.

To be able to use the multiple property enquiry list we require that a cookie be stored on your computer to identify you inorder to remember the properties you have chosen. Sending enquiries to the property owners/agents by use of our direct enquiry forms, sends your contact details (email address and telephone number) to the property owner/agent for them to be able to contact you. We also receive a copy of this information, however it is only held in archive and not used for mailing purposes. If you have cookies enabled on your browser, this enquiry form will also temporarily remember any information you have entered on the form, saving you time when sending more than one enquiry. Clients advertising on our site will have their personal information stored within our system on secure servers within the European Economic Area. This information will only be used for enquiries from the site, for passing to persons who have booked a holiday with an advertiser, and for emails from Choose Spain Ltd regarding site updates. This information will be stored in archive for a minimum of 6 months following cessation of advertising.

Cookies

We use cookies on the site to allow personalisation of your visit. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your computer by our server. We primarily use cookies to save you time when entering the same details on multiple enquiry forms and inorder for the site to allow you use of the multiple enquiry list. Cookies are also used by our owners area to protect clients privacy and allow them to navigate securely within the system. We also use cookies to track visitor movements around the site which allows us to improve our system.

Most browsers are by default set to automatically accept cookies, but can be set by yourself to decline them. We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or to protect and defend the rights or property of Choose Spain Ltd and our family of Web sites. Passing of credit card information is not carried out on our site but through the third party websites of either WorldPay or PayPal, depending on your choice.

Individuals have the right to request that their information is not used for marketing purposes. If individuals access other sites, through our site, and disclose personal information this will be governed by that website's own privacy policy. The Data Protection Act allows individuals to access information about them in return for an administration fee (currently £10).

Advertisers

We also use third party advertisements to support our site. Some of these advertisers may use technology such as cookies and web beacons when they advertise on our site, which will also send these advertisers (such as Google through the Google AdSense program) information including your IP address, your ISP , the browser you used to visit our site, and in some cases, whether you have Flash installed. This is generally used for geotargeting purposes (showing New York real estate ads to someone in New York, for example) or showing certain ads based on specific sites visited (such as showing cooking ads to someone who frequents cooking sites).
