Quinta Julia is a traditional Portuguese farmhouse set in 4 acres of natural woodland which accommodates from 2-12 people. The property has been lovingly restored over the last ten years using only local materials. It is currently managed by its resident owners, Elaine and Kelvin Evans, who are always available to help and answer any questions you may have and offer extensive knowledge of the local area. The farmhouse is arranged as two cottages and one studio and can be booked either separately or in combination to suit your requirements.

Quinta Julia sits on top of a hill, surrounded by orange groves, commanding wonderful country views in all directions. Although close to many excellent beaches and only five minutes away from the historic moorish capital of Silves, the quinta has the perfect setting and atmosphere for a most relaxing holiday. It is the ideal base for exploring the Algarve and taking advantage of the many attractions such as water sports, tennis and golf.
The three cottages offer guests total independence and privacy as each has its own terrace with table, chairs and parasol or you can relax in the beautiful mature gardens which have many shaded quiet areas. The ‘piggery’ and barbecue area is excellent for preparing your own meals or for enjoying the company of other guests. The pool bar is popular for those who enjoy a cool drink at the end of a hot day at the poolside or after a meal out in a local restaurant and is a good place to make new friends.

STUDIO - This one room studio, once the donkey barn, is ideal for a couple. The mezzanine double bedroom has wonderful views of the Monchique mountains. Below the bedroom is a shower, toilet and dressing area. In front, there is a fully equipped kitchenette and a small living area with wicker dining table and chairs. This accommodation is small but a firm favourite because of its unique ambience and value for money.
THE COTTAGE - This comfortable cottage suitable for 2-4 people is furnished throughout in rustic old pine. It consists of one bedroom with double bed, and a large living room with two further bed settees if required. The well-equipped farmhouse kitchen is spacious and has a dining table and seating area. The recently renovated bathroom continues the cottage feel with beautiful Algarvian tiling.

THE OLD FARMHOUSE - This cottage is the original farmhouse and has the feel of a family home. The entrance hall, with original moorish tiles, leads you into the spacious twin bedroom, the large family bathroom and comfortable lounge area. An arch takes you into the well-equipped kitchen with its original features and beautiful country views. The double bedroom has retained much of its farmhouse charm.

Rentals usually commence on Saturdays although flexibility may be possible in quiet periods.

Prices are inclusive of linen, towels, electricity and gas.

On booking 25% deposit is requested and the remainder is payable 6 weeks before arrival.

Extra beds/cots are available at a small additional fee if requested in advance.

It is recommended that clients take out holiday insurance.

Car hire is essential and the cost can vary between £80-£200 per week depending on the car and the time of the year. We can arrange this for you.

Flights are available to Faro from most UK airports.
