Lovely 2 bedroom cottage in the hamlet of Cumeada just outside the old Moorish capital of Silves. Quiet but not remote.
Peaceful, pretty and practical..the house may be over 100 years old but the contents are bang up to date, with washing machine, dishwasher and sat tv.
Sit on the terrace in privacy enjoying a dip in our small but perfectly formed pool - we have jacuzzi jets on the steps..imagine yourself there now with a book in one hand, glass of wine in the other.
The cottage has two bedrooms but we think this property is ideally suited to couples, and as such offer a discounted rate for smaller parties.

Not overlooked, the private gated courtyard is the perfect place for those who relish their privacy but don't want to be too secluded.
Meet our Portugese neighbours every morning when the fish van comes round with the day's fresh catch.
The most amazing feature of the property is the location, overlooking as it does the beautiful, fertile Arade valley, where the best oranges and lemons in Portugal are grown.

Both bedrooms have double beds and are en-suite with shower-rooms.
The walls are about 2ft thick and so the cottage retains the heat in the winter and stays cool in summer.
Ceiling fans in both bedrooms and a woodburning fire for winter guests.

Although the cottage is in a country location it is by no means 'in the middle of nowhere'.
Just 8kms from Silves, a lovely old market town with castle, river, pedestrianised centre with cafés, restaurants etc.
The nearest golf course is just a 15 minute drive - the new SILVES GOLF - and the beautiful beaches of the Algarve are an easy 20 minute drive,the nearest being Carvoeiro and Galé.
You´ll be on the motorway in 10 minutes and you can travel to Lisbon and Seville in just over two hours.

Please note that we have two cats and while the owners will not be around when the guests are in situ the cats will!

**PLEASE NOTE: In the photographs you will see two cottages around the courtyard. When clients are in residence the owners, who live in one of the cottages, move out - so you have the place all to yourselves ( except for the cats )
If you don't mind a bit of evening and weekend company the owners ( UK couple ) will not decamp but instead can offer GBP 50 - GBP 100 off your holiday cost, depending on numbers etc. Please talk to us if this is of interest.
