Villa Description
Quinta Dos Anjos is a traditional style villa set in it's own
grounds with pool, in a peaceful country location. The villa
sleeps 6+cot but also has two, self contained, cottages in the
grounds, one sleeping up to 4+cot and the other sleeping up to
2+cot. An excellent property for a group of friends/family
wanting to holiday together but with the advantage of having
their own 'space'! If only the villa is required the cottages will
remain empty.
The garden to the front of the villa is landscaped but the
grounds cover 36,000 sq.m. and contain orange, apricot and
other fruit trees. They border unspoilt countryside and so
there are some very nice views from the property.
The pool is a good size (10x4.5m) with roman steps leading in.
There are plenty of sun loungers around the pool and a
shower. A nice feature is a very attractive built in BBQ on the
pool deck with a covered terrace complete with dining
furniture for some relaxed alfresco dining!
Quinta Dos Anjos has 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6 plus cot. The
fully fitted kitchen is also fully equiped - fridge/freezer,
washing machine etc. The comfortable lounge/dining area has
a wood fire, satellite TV etc. The villa has 3 bedrooms, all with
air-conditioning. One double and two twin bedded, one with
ensuite. Also a family sized bathroom.
The larger cottage has two twin bedded rooms, one ensuite. A
family bathroom. Open plan lounge with TV and a very
attractive and brand new kitchen/diner.
The smaller cottage has a double bedroom with shower room.
Open plan lounge with satelliteTV and another very attractive
and brand new kitchen/diner. There is another BBQ by the
cottages.
The property is gated and has plenty of parking space. Maid
service twice weekly. A welcome pack of groceries awaits
your arrival.
The villa is only 30 minutes from Faro airport. The car included
is picked up and returned to the airport .
Within 15 minutes you have the golden sand beaches. Zoo
Marine with it's dolphins. 'Algarve Shopping' which is out of
town shopping 'Algarve style' with cinemas, bowling, lots of
shops restaurants etc. Also three golf courses within 15
mins!
The medieval town of Silves is just 10 minutes away. It has a
castle on the top of the hill, worth the climb for the stunning
views of the surrounding countryside and orange groves.
Some shops including a 'Modelo' supermarket and plenty of
restaurants.
The big water park is just 5 minutes away and the local bar
and shop are a short walk.
RESTAURANTS
Ruis
A very busy restaurant in one of the pedestrian streets
leading up to the castle at Silves. Hot rolls when you arrive
and the seafood rice is especially nice.
Tiodoce
At Guia, this restaurant only sells Chicken Piri Piri. Big and
noisy and full of Portugese which is always a good sign!
GOLF
There are 4 golf courses within a 15 minute drive of Quinta
Dos Anjos.
VALE DE MILHO
'Vale De Milho'is an excellent course for beginners whilst
giving the more experienced players a chance to concentrate
on their short game. Waterfall into a large lake at the second
hole.
CARVOEIRO
The two 'Carvoeiro' courses. Set in an area of undulating land
'Pinta' & 'Gramacho' are the work of master course designer
Ronald Fream. Scattered with almond, carob and olive trees -
many centuries old. Pinta is a conventional 18 hole course
whilst 'Gramacho' is unique in Europe with 18 tees, 18 greens
but only 9 fairways!
PENINA
The world famous 'Penina'. This Championship Course is the
masterpiece of Sir Henry Cotton and his favourite course. The
Portugese Open was held here in both 1998 & 1999.
SALGADOS
The 'Salgados' course is a links-style course, almost on the
beach! Well placed next to a nature reserve with many
varieties of waterfowl. The scenery from this course is
stunning.
