Nestled in amongst citrus orchards and countryside, Casa Rajada offers complete seclusion yet is conveniently located only 2.5km from the quaint old town of Moncarapacho and all its amenities.
Four generously sized, fully air conditioned bedrooms with views out over the pool and gardens sleep 8 people. There is one double bedroom upstairs and one double bedroom downstairs, both have ensuite bathrooms with shower, toilet and basins and there are two twin bedrooms, both downstairs.
The downstairs bathroom has a bath tub and shower, toilet and basin.
The fully air conditioned living room and dining room occupy an ample space with large glass patio doors leading out to the pool and terrace eating area.
A large LCD screen, with SKY digibox and DVD player and comfortable L-shaped sofa are provided in the living room. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with a large fridge freezer, dish washer, gas hob, electric oven, toaster, kettle. There is an utility room off the kitchen near the back door.
The 9 x 4 metre pool has terrecota paving around it and is 1.90 metres at the deep end and 1.00 at the shallow end, with steps leading into the water. There is an outdoor pool shower and barbeque in the terrece and behind the house is a Boule playing area.
Garden furniture is provided for the terrace and pool areas, including sunbeds, sun umbrellas, a stone table and chairs. Leading away from the pool are lawns, shaded seating areas and an ornamental pond.
A variety of white sand beaches can be reached within 10 minutes by car, including various deserted lagoons and beaches with facilities. The Islands of Culattra, Armona and Farol can be reached by ferry boat from Olhao, 10km away. Amongst the selection of many beautiful beaches this part of the Algarve has to offer, Fuzeta beach is a sure family favourite. Being only 7km from the villa, Fuzeta is easily reached and comprises a tidal river bordered with colourful fishing boats and pavement cafes, leading up to the estuary which has a sand beach and beach house where one can catch the small ferry boat which regularly crosses over the small stretch to a large, clean sandy coast. The beaches in this area are all EEC blue flag.
We recommend hiring a car in order to take advantage and visit all the beautiful places and to facilitate shopping.
Faro is the nearest airport, a 25 minute drive away.
Flights to Jerez de la Frontera are available and often cheaper, though car hire is necessary as public transport to Portugal is not easy.
Lisbon is around 3.5 hours away and Seville around 2 hours drive.
The nearest shop is found locally and in Moncarapacho, 2.5km away.
Tavira, the gem of the Eastern Algarve is reached in 15 minutes by car, along with the varied beaches found around there.
Moncarapacho has a rural and individual charm about it and links to unspoilt hamlet villages in amongst the hills and surroundings.
