Colares is located 7 minutes by car from Sintra, one of the most beautiful and well preserved regions of Portugal. Sintra is part of UNESCO World Heritage.

Colares has easy acess to some fabulous beaches such as Praia Grande and Praia da Adraga.

It is 35 Km away from Lisbon and 15 km from Cascais and Estoril. Cascais is an old fishing village with lots of seafood restaurants. Estoril has a casino providing night life.

If you are a writer/artist you will enjoy this location: it is inspiring and has all the fun in the world.

The villages of Colares and Mucifal are well supplied with a variety of shops and have restaurants that make the delight of those who enjoy home-made cooking.
